Evie - Satin Silver 5 Light Semi Flush with Twisted Glass

Evie features five rounded clear glass shades, each decorated with a twisted, swirling pattern that creates a textured appearance. The curved glass catches reflections from the surrounding room and helps make the shades a prominent feature even when the light is switched off.

A satin silver finish covers the central ceiling plate, curved arms and shade holders. The softly brushed appearance of the silver complements the clear glass without competing with its decorative pattern.

The five shades sit at different positions around the central fitting, creating a balanced yet flowing arrangement. Its combination of curved lines and patterned glass works particularly well with modern classic and contemporary interiors.

The Searchlight Evie uses five replaceable G9 LED bulbs, each with a maximum permitted wattage of 3.5W LED. Bulbs are not included, so five suitable lamps must be purchased separately.

With light sources distributed around the fitting rather than concentrated in one central position, Evie can provide illumination across different directions. The clear twisted glass permits light to pass through while its textured surface creates decorative reflections and highlights.

Lighting characteristics depend on the G9 bulbs selected:

• Warm white bulbs can help create a softer, more relaxed atmosphere in bedrooms and living rooms.
• Neutral white bulbs can provide a cleaner, more functional appearance in hallways and everyday living spaces.
• The brightness of the fitting depends on the lumen output of the five chosen bulbs.

Evie is compatible with dimmable G9 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

The fitting is mains-operated and uses a fixed semi-flush ceiling mounting. Its 19 cm height makes it an alternative to a longer suspended ceiling light where ceiling clearance is important.

• Living rooms - a decorative central ceiling light with five separate light sources.
• Bedrooms - patterned clear glass and a low-profile fitting for general room lighting.
• Dining rooms - a multi-arm design that adds visual interest above a dining area.
• Hallways - a statement ceiling fitting without a long suspended drop.

Are the bulbs included with the Searchlight Evie EVI-5SS?

No. The Evie ceiling light requires five G9 LED bulbs, which must be purchased separately. Each bulb must not exceed 3.5W LED. Choosing bulbs with matching colour temperatures will help create a consistent appearance across all five glass shades.

Can the Searchlight Evie ceiling light be dimmed?

Yes. Evie is compatible with dimmable G9 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs should not be used for dimming.

Is the Evie suitable for rooms with lower ceilings?

Its semi-flush construction measures 19 cm in height, making it a practical alternative to a pendant light with a longer suspension. The fitting has a diameter of 54 cm, so both the available ceiling space and headroom should be considered before installation.

Can this ceiling light be installed in a bathroom?

Evie has an IP20 rating and is intended for suitable dry indoor areas. It does not have the additional moisture protection normally required in bathroom zones exposed to splashes or water. A bathroom-rated fitting should be selected wherever the installation location requires a higher IP rating.

Does the clear twisted glass affect the lighting?

The transparent glass allows light from the five G9 bulbs to pass through, while the twisted surface creates visible reflections and decorative highlights. The final brightness and light colour depend on the bulbs selected, rather than the glass shades alone.
