Rattan - Shade Only - 52 cm Warm Natural Rattan Shade

Part of Endon's Rattan range, this lampshade features natural rattan woven around a supporting steel frame. The tapered silhouette widens from a 16.5cm upper diameter to a generous 52cm lower diameter, creating a distinctive shape with a relatively shallow 22cm height.

Its open weave provides visual texture, while the warm natural colouring complements timber furniture, woven accessories and understated interior finishes.

This is a handmade fitting. Small tooling marks and slight variation in pattern or finish are natural results of the manufacturing process, not faults.

The Rattan 122586 is a separate lampshade rather than a complete light fitting. It does not include a lamp base, ceiling suspension, electrical wiring or light bulb.

A fixed gimbal fitting is provided for attachment to a compatible lamp holder. The shade is listed as suitable for E14, B22 and E27 lamp holders, although the existing fitting and any necessary adaptor must be checked before purchase.

The woven rattan sides allow some light to filter through the natural fibres, creating visible patterns of light and shadow. The open underside also permits more direct illumination, depending on the lamp position and bulb selected.

LED bulbs can be used with a suitable compatible lamp holder. The actual brightness, colour temperature and switching arrangements depend on the complete lamp or pendant fitting rather than the shade itself.

With a wide 52cm diameter, checking the surrounding clearance is important, particularly when fitting the shade to a table lamp positioned beside furniture or a wall.

• Living rooms - adding natural texture to a floor lamp or larger table lamp.
• Bedrooms - creating a softer decorative lighting feature on a suitable bedside or occasional lamp.
• Dining rooms - pairing with a compatible pendant suspension for an organic decorative look.
• Hallways - introducing woven detail where there is sufficient space for the 52cm diameter.
• Scandinavian-inspired interiors - complementing light woods and neutral colour schemes.
• Coastal and relaxed contemporary interiors - coordinating with rattan, wicker and other natural materials.
• Reading corners and lounge areas - adding an interesting shade to an appropriately sized floor lamp.

• Handcrafted natural rattan construction gives the shade its distinctive woven appearance.
• Wide 52cm lower diameter creates a noticeable decorative feature.
• Shallow 22cm tapered profile provides a broad silhouette without excessive shade height.
• Open woven sides permit filtered light to pass through the natural fibres.
• Open lower section permits direct light beneath the shade.
• Steel supporting frame helps maintain the tapered form.
• Fixed gimbal fitting provides a mounting point for a suitable lamp holder.
• Compatible with E14, B22 and E27 lamp holders, subject to fitting compatibility.
• Natural finish coordinates with wooden furniture and other woven accessories.
• Separate shade design allows an existing compatible lamp to be updated without replacing the entire fitting.

• Provides a straightforward way to introduce natural rattan into an existing lighting arrangement.
• Its generous tapered shape works especially well with larger lamp bases and suitable pendant installations.
• Offers a combination of woven texture and an open light path rather than the appearance of a fully enclosed fabric shade.
• Natural colour variations give each handcrafted shade an individual appearance.
• Can coordinate with several interior styles, from understated contemporary rooms to more relaxed, nature-inspired spaces.
• Compatible with several common lamp holder types, making it adaptable to different fittings once the mounting arrangement has been checked.

Is the Endon Rattan 122586 a complete light fitting?

No. This product is a separate handcrafted rattan lampshade. It does not include a lamp base, pendant suspension, electrical cable or bulb. It is intended to be fitted to a compatible existing lamp holder, making it suitable for updating the appearance of an existing light.

What size is this rattan lampshade?

The shade measures 22cm high, with a 52cm lower diameter and a 16.5cm upper diameter. Its broad tapered shape is particularly suitable for larger lamp bases and compatible ceiling pendants. Check the available space and the proportions of your existing fitting before ordering.

Will the shade fit an E27, B22 or E14 lamp holder?

The shade is listed as compatible with E14, B22 and E27 lamp holders and has a fixed gimbal fitting. Compatibility depends on the exact lamp holder and mounting arrangement. Check whether a suitable shade ring or adaptor is needed before fitting it to an existing lamp.

Does the rattan shade block the light?

The woven rattan construction filters some of the light passing through its sides rather than blocking it completely. Light can also pass through the open lower section. The resulting brightness and lighting effect depend on the bulb and the complete fitting used with the shade.

Can this lampshade be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

The shade has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor locations. It is not designed for outdoor exposure or areas where moisture and water splashes are likely. Living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and dry hallways are more appropriate locations.
