Bamboo - Shade Only - 58 cm Natural Ombre Stripe Bamboo Shade

Made from natural bamboo, this decorative lampshade features a broad dome silhouette with flowing woven strands. The ombre colouring gradually blends warm natural bamboo shades with muted blue, creating a striped appearance that adds colour without overwhelming the surrounding room.

The woven construction gives the shade a textured, organic appearance, while its wide 58 cm diameter provides a noticeable decorative feature. At 30 cm high, the shade has a relatively shallow profile compared with its generous width.

Natural materials and the restrained blue colour palette complement pale timber furniture, neutral fabrics, coastal accessories and contemporary interiors. The open lower section reveals the light source and provides an unobstructed downward opening.

The Bamboo Ombre Stripe is a non-electric lampshade designed for use with a separate ceiling pendant suspension. It does not contain an integrated light source, electrical wiring or its own lampholder.

Its adaptable fitting supports three common lampholder types:

• B22 bayonet lampholders
• E14 small Edison screw lampholders
• E27 Edison screw lampholders

The manufacturer specifies one GLS LED bulb for use with a compatible pendant fitting. The bulb is not included and must be selected to match the lampholder installed.

Light can pass through the spaces between the bamboo strands, producing a softer, patterned illumination around the sides. The open underside permits more direct downward light, making the design suitable for positioning above dining tables or within general living spaces.

With an IP20 rating, the shade is intended for dry indoor locations. The suspension, electrical connection and final hanging height depend on the separate pendant fitting used.

Does the Searchlight SO701960 include a bulb or pendant cable?

No. This product is a non-electric bamboo lampshade, supplied without a bulb or electrical pendant suspension. It is intended to be fitted to a compatible existing pendant or a separately purchased suspension. The bulb must also be purchased separately.

Will this bamboo shade fit my existing ceiling pendant?

The shade has an adaptable fitting compatible with B22, E14 and E27 lampholders. Check that your existing pendant suspension supports the shade and its dimensions before purchasing. The complete shade measures 58 cm across and 30 cm high.

What type of bulb should I use with this lampshade?

The manufacturer specifies one GLS LED bulb. Choose the correct cap type for your pendant lampholder, whether B22, E14 or E27. As the shade is a separate accessory, the bulb must be suitable for the electrical fitting to which it is attached.

How does the woven bamboo affect the light?

The spaces between the bamboo strands allow some light to pass through the sides, creating a textured lighting effect. The lower opening also permits direct downward illumination. The final brightness and appearance depend on the LED bulb selected and the surrounding room.

Is this 58 cm bamboo shade suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?

The shade has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor locations. It is well suited to living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, but should not be used where it may be exposed to water, rain or excessive moisture.
