The Cotton pendant features a rounded white diffuser made from acid-etched blown glass. Its smooth, softly curved shape gives the fitting a clean and understated appearance, while the etched surface helps conceal the bulb and soften its light.

A white powder-coated metal frame and matching ceiling canopy maintain the simple monochrome design. The canopy uses a magnetic screw-free closure for a neat appearance once installed, and a clear PVC suspension cable reduces visual distraction.

This shade is hand blown, so it is genuinely handmade rather than machine pressed. Small bubbles, subtle tooling marks and slight variation in pattern or colour are natural results of the glass blowing process, not faults.

One replaceable E27 bulb sits inside the acid-etched glass diffuser. The enclosed white shade spreads light in a diffuse manner rather than producing a narrow directional beam, making the pendant suitable for general room lighting or for positioning above a dining table.

The bulb is not included. LED bulbs are compatible, and Ideal Lux specifies an 10W E27 LED bulb as its recommended light source. Choosing the bulb separately allows you to select the colour temperature and lumen output required for the room.

The suspension can be adjusted during installation from approximately 55.5 cm to 236 cm overall. This provides flexibility for different ceiling heights and furniture arrangements.

Is the bulb included?

No. The Cotton SP1 D40 requires one E27 bulb, which must be purchased separately. Ideal Lux recommends a 10W E27 LED bulb, although the brightness and colour temperature can be selected to suit your room.

No. Its IP20 rating is intended for dry indoor locations. It should not be installed outdoors or in bathroom zones where protection against moisture or splashing water is required.

The rounded glass diffuser measures 40 cm in diameter and approximately 32 cm high. Its substantial size works well as a single focal pendant above a dining table or within a medium-sized living space.
