Hampton - Antique Brass 5 Light Semi Flush with Light Champagne Ribbed Glass

The Hampton features five rounded, cylindrical light champagne glass shades with a distinctive vertical ribbed pattern. Each shade has a softly curved top and a metal-trimmed lower opening, creating a coordinated appearance across the fitting.

An antique brass finish complements the warm light champagne colouring of the glass. The shades are arranged around a central ceiling mount on angled arms, with one positioned below the central hub to create a balanced, layered design.

The combination of ribbed glass, warm metallic colouring and clean geometric lines suits modern classic interiors as well as contemporary rooms with traditional decorative details.

The Searchlight Hampton uses five replaceable G9 LED bulbs, each with a maximum wattage of 3.5 W. The bulbs are not included, so they can be selected separately to suit the preferred colour temperature and brightness.

Its five light sources are positioned across the ceiling fitting rather than concentrated in a single central bulb. This arrangement helps distribute illumination across a wider area, while the light champagne ribbed glass can soften the visible light and introduce a warmer decorative effect.

The fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Designed for mains-operated ceiling installation, the Hampton is controlled through the room's wall switch. Its fixed 22 cm height provides a compact alternative to a hanging chandelier, particularly where a longer suspension would be impractical.

• Bedrooms where a warm antique brass finish complements soft furnishings and neutral colours.
• Dining rooms where a semi-flush fitting is preferred over a suspended chandelier.
• Hallways and entrance areas with sufficient ceiling space for a 55 cm diameter fitting.
• Modern classic interiors featuring warm metallic accents and decorative glass.
• Contemporary interiors that benefit from the contrast between structured metal arms and textured glass.

What bulbs does the Searchlight Hampton HAM-5L require?

The Hampton requires five G9 LED bulbs, each rated at a maximum of 3.5W. Bulbs are not included and must be purchased separately. The chosen bulbs will determine the overall brightness and colour temperature of the light.

Can the Hampton 5 light ceiling fitting be dimmed?

Yes, the fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly. Standard non-dimmable G9 LED bulbs should not be used for dimming.

Is the Hampton suitable for rooms with lower ceilings?

With a fixed height of 22 cm, the Hampton sits closer to the ceiling than a traditional suspended chandelier. This makes it worth considering where a long pendant would hang too low. Check the available ceiling height, required head clearance and the fitting's 55 cm diameter before purchasing.

Can this ceiling light be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?

The Hampton has an IP20 rating and is intended for general indoor dry-room use. It is not protected against water ingress, so it should not be installed outdoors or in bathroom locations requiring a moisture-resistant fitting. Choose an appropriately IP-rated light for those applications.

What effect do the light champagne ribbed glass shades have on the lighting?

The light champagne glass introduces a warm tint to the visible light, while the vertical ribbing creates texture and can help soften the appearance of the bulbs. The final lighting effect will also depend on the brightness and colour temperature of the G9 LED bulbs selected.
