Alba - Antique Brass 4 Light Flush with Amber Glass

The Alba ceiling light features a circular metal frame finished in antique brass, complemented by multiple hanging pieces of champagne-tinted glass. The decorative glass elements have elongated, faceted shapes that add texture and reflect light from different angles.

Arranged beneath the frame in layered circular formations, the glass pieces create a chandelier-inspired appearance without requiring a long suspension chain. Their warm champagne colouring complements the antique brass finish and introduces a softer decorative look than clear glass alone.

With its combination of classic metallic detailing and geometric glass decoration, the Alba makes an attractive feature when viewed both from below and across the room.

The Alba uses four E14 replaceable bulbs positioned within the decorative glass arrangement. Multiple light sources help distribute illumination across the fitting, while the champagne-tinted glass catches and reflects light to enhance its decorative appearance.

The manufacturer specifies E14 LED candle bulbs for this fitting. Four bulbs are required and must be purchased separately. LED bulbs provide an energy-efficient alternative to traditional lamps, with the chosen bulbs determining the brightness and colour temperature.

Compatible with dimmable E14 bulbs, when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

As a flush-mounted ceiling fitting, the Alba installs directly against the ceiling rather than hanging from an adjustable cable or chain. Its 28 cm overall height should still be considered when planning clearance, particularly in rooms with lower ceilings.

The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations. It is not intended for outdoor exposure or areas requiring protection against moisture.

What bulbs does the Searchlight Alba 11241-4AB require?

The Alba requires four E14 LED candle bulbs, which are not included. The manufacturer specifies the candle shape for this fitting. A recommended LED wattage of up to 8W per bulb can be used when selecting suitable replacements. Bulb brightness and colour temperature can be chosen according to the room.

Can the Alba ceiling light be dimmed?

Yes. The fitting is compatible with dimmable E14 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. This allows the light output to be adjusted for different activities and preferences. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Is the Alba suitable for rooms with low ceilings?

The flush-mounted construction makes it an alternative to a pendant or chandelier with a long suspension. However, the fitting is 28 cm high, so the available headroom should be checked before installation. Its decorative glass arrangement extends below the ceiling-mounted frame.

Can this ceiling light be installed in a bathroom?

The Alba has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor environments. It does not provide the moisture protection normally required in bathroom zones where water exposure is possible. For bathrooms or other damp locations, choose a fitting with an appropriate IP rating for the intended installation position.

Does the decorative glass need to be assembled during installation?

Yes. The manufacturer's installation leaflet shows multiple individual hanging glass pieces being attached to the fitting during assembly. The ceiling mounting bracket and electrical connections are also part of the installation process. Because the fitting is mains wired, installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician.
