Dynamite - Black Square 4 Spotlights

The Dynamite ceiling light has a narrow rectangular mounting plate with four compact square spotlight heads arranged in a straight line. Its black finish gives the fitting a defined, modern appearance that works particularly well with contemporary furniture, dark accents and minimalist interiors.

The frame and spotlight housings are made from metal. Each head has a simple geometric form with a recessed GU10 light source, keeping the overall design neat while reducing the visual prominence of the bulbs. At approximately 14.1 cm high and 5.7 cm deep, the fitting remains relatively close to the ceiling.

Four independently adjustable spotlight heads allow the direction of the light to be changed to suit the room. They can be aimed towards separate areas, helping provide more flexible illumination than a fixed single-source ceiling light. This is useful for lighting kitchen work surfaces, pictures, shelving, desks or circulation areas.

The fitting uses four replaceable GU10 bulbs. Four 7W GU10 LED bulbs with a warm white 3000K colour temperature are included. Each supplied bulb produces 540 lumens, providing a combined nominal output of 2,160 lumens before losses caused by positioning and the fitting.

The ceiling light is LED compatible. It can also be used with dimmable GU10 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Are the bulbs included with this ceiling light?

Yes. The fitting is supplied with four 7W GU10 LED bulbs. Each included bulb produces 540 lumens with a warm white 3000K colour temperature. The GU10 bulbs are replaceable when they eventually reach the end of their service life.

Can the individual spotlights be adjusted?

Yes. All four spotlight heads are adjustable, allowing them to be aimed towards different areas of the room. This makes the fitting suitable for general directional lighting or for highlighting worktops, desks, pictures and display shelving.

Can the Ideal Lux Dynamite 371368 be dimmed?

The mains-wired fitting is compatible with dimmable GU10 bulbs when connected to a suitable dimmer switch. Dimming will depend on the bulbs being used, so the GU10 bulbs and dimmer switch need to be compatible with each other.

Is this ceiling spotlight suitable for a bathroom?

The fitting has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor locations. It does not provide the moisture protection normally required within bathroom zones, so a suitably rated bathroom light should be selected for those areas.

Can different GU10 bulbs be fitted later?

Yes. The supplied bulbs can be replaced with compatible GU10 lamps. This provides a choice of brightness levels, beam angles and colour temperatures, subject to the fitting's stated lamp limit and the physical dimensions of the replacement bulbs.
