Folk - Matt Brown Pendant ∅ 18 cm

The Folk pendant features a rounded metal shade and matching ceiling cup in a matt coffee finish. Its brown, oxidised appearance gives the fitting a rustic and industrial character without relying on an oversized shade.

Inside the shade, the enamelled reflector has a pale finish and a distinctive corrugated texture. This contrasting interior remains visible from below and adds detail to the otherwise simple silhouette. A black fabric-covered suspension cable completes the design.

This pendant uses one replaceable E27 bulb, which must be purchased separately. The open lower section of the metal shade directs most of the light downwards, making the fitting particularly useful above counters, tables and other defined surfaces.

LED E27 bulbs are compatible, and an LED bulb of up to 8W is recommended. The colour temperature and brightness can be selected through the bulb, making it possible to choose warm white light for relaxed spaces or a brighter output for practical areas.

The manufacturer identifies this model as non-dimmable. Its suspension can be adjusted during installation from approximately 36 cm to 214 cm, helping the electrician position the shade at a suitable level for the room and intended application.

The fitting has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor locations. It does not provide protection against water, so it should not be installed in a bathroom zone that requires a higher IP rating.

Is it suitable above a kitchen island?

Yes. The 18 cm shade directs light downwards and is compact enough for use above an island or breakfast bar. One pendant can highlight a small area, while several may be spaced in a row over a longer surface.
