Berlin 1 - Matt Black & Gold 4 Light Pendant

The Berlin 1 is built around an open, angular cage frame finished entirely in matt black metal. Rather than an enclosed shade, the elongated octagonal outline is left open, so the internal structure and light sources remain visible from every angle.

At the centre of the frame sits a brass fitting with four gold lamp holders, each holding an exposed candle-style bulb. This is where the gold tone in the design comes from, contrasting cleanly against the matt black cage rather than appearing as a painted detail on the frame itself. A black chain and matching ceiling rose complete the fitting, keeping the suspension in the same dark palette as the frame.

Four separate E14 lamp holders sit within the open frame, so light comes from more than one point rather than a single central bulb. Because the frame has no shade, the bulbs themselves are visible, so the style of bulb you choose will also affect the overall look of the fitting.
