Royal - Sand 3 Light Semi Flush with Amber Ribbed Glass

The Royal ceiling light features a painted matt sand finish on its mild steel frame, paired with three amber ribbed glass shades. The combination of neutral metal and tinted glass creates a decorative look without relying on elaborate ornamentation.

Each cylindrical glass shade features vertical ribbing that adds texture and changes the appearance of the light passing through it. Sand-coloured bands provide a coordinated finish around the glass sections.

The three shades are arranged together beneath the ceiling mounting, creating a balanced, compact design. Measuring 22.5 cm in overall height, the fitting introduces a noticeable decorative feature without the extended suspension of a pendant light.

The Royal uses three replaceable E27 bulbs, positioned within separate amber ribbed glass shades. This arrangement provides illumination from three light sources rather than a single central bulb.

The tinted glass influences the appearance of the light, while the ribbed surfaces add a textured effect. The final brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulbs selected.

Searchlight specifies E27 GLS LED bulbs for this fitting. Three bulbs are required and must be purchased separately.

Compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

The flush ceiling mounting is particularly useful where a suspended pendant would extend too far into the room. With an IP20 rating, the fitting is intended for dry indoor locations rather than exposed outdoor areas or locations requiring moisture-resistant lighting.

What bulbs does the Searchlight Royal 82345-3SA use?

The fitting requires three E27 GLS LED bulbs, which are sold separately. The bulbs can be selected according to your preferred brightness and colour temperature. The recommended LED wattage is up to 8W per bulb.

Can this ceiling light be dimmed?

Yes. The Royal is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Is the Royal flush ceiling light suitable for lower ceilings?

Yes. Its flush-mounted construction avoids a long hanging suspension, making it a practical option where ceiling height is limited. The complete fitting measures 22.5 cm in height, so this distance should be considered when checking available headroom.

Can this fitting be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?

The Royal has an IP20 rating and is designed for dry indoor spaces. It is not suitable for outdoor exposure or bathroom locations requiring a higher level of moisture protection. Its intended applications include living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and similar dry interiors.

Does the amber ribbed glass affect the lighting?

Yes. The amber tint changes the appearance of light passing through the shades, while the ribbed surface creates additional visual texture. The final lighting effect depends on the brightness and colour temperature of the three E27 bulbs selected.
