Kent - Bronze 3 Light over Island Fitting with Champagne Frosted Glass

The Kent pendant features a slim rectangular ceiling bar in a bronze finish, supporting three individually suspended glass shades. The shades have a champagne colour with a frosted surface that softens the appearance of the bulbs inside.

Each cylindrical shade adds a decorative vertical element beneath the horizontal ceiling bar. The combination of warm bronze and champagne glass offers a contemporary appearance without relying on highly reflective finishes.

Measuring 65 cm in length and 11 cm in width, the fitting has a relatively compact linear profile. Its three-shade arrangement creates visual balance when positioned above rectangular furniture such as a kitchen island or dining table.

The Kent bar pendant uses three separate E27 lampholders, providing illumination from three positions along the fitting. The champagne frosted glass shades diffuse the light, helping to soften direct glare and create a more comfortable lighting effect.

Three E27 GLS LED bulbs are specified for this fitting and must be purchased separately. Choosing suitable LED bulbs allows the brightness and colour temperature to be selected according to the intended use. Warm white bulbs can help create a relaxed dining atmosphere, while a brighter output may be preferable over a kitchen island.

The pendant is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

The suspension height is adjustable during installation, allowing the shades to be positioned at a suitable level above a worktop or dining surface. The maximum overall height is 120 cm.

With an IP20 rating, this fitting is intended for dry indoor locations. It is a mains-wired ceiling light requiring an earthed electrical connection.

What bulbs does the Searchlight Kent 3 Light Bar Pendant use?

The fitting requires three E27 bulbs. Searchlight specifies GLS LED bulbs for this model. The bulbs are not included, so they need to be purchased separately. You can choose suitable LED brightness and colour temperature to match your kitchen or dining area.

Can the Kent bar pendant be dimmed?

Yes. It is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly. This provides flexibility between brighter task lighting and softer evening illumination.

Is the hanging height adjustable?

Yes. The Kent pendant has an adjustable suspension with a maximum overall height of 120 cm. The hanging height can be set during installation to suit the ceiling height and the table or kitchen island beneath the fitting.

Is this pendant suitable for positioning above a kitchen island?

Yes. The 65 cm linear bar and three separate light sources make it well suited to kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables. The frosted glass helps soften the illumination, while the adjustable suspension allows the fitting to be positioned at an appropriate height.

Can the Kent pendant be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. With an IP20 rating, this pendant is intended for dry indoor environments rather than outdoor locations or areas exposed to water. It is more appropriate for kitchens, dining rooms and other suitable dry interior spaces.
