Swizzle - Sand Pendant with Frosted Glass Rods Ø 40 cm

The Swizzle pendant features a cylindrical shade made from vertically arranged frosted glass rods, supported by a metal structure in a painted sand finish. The closely spaced rods create a distinctive textured appearance, with light passing through and between the glass elements.

The soft, neutral finish offers an alternative to traditional chrome, brass or black lighting. Its combination of straight glass detailing and a rounded overall shape suits contemporary interiors, particularly spaces featuring natural materials, muted colours and simple furnishings.

At 40 cm wide and 26 cm high, the shade has enough visual presence to serve as a decorative ceiling feature without requiring multiple light sources.

The Swizzle 55621SA uses one replaceable E27 bulb, which is not included. Its frosted glass rod shade helps diffuse and soften light passing through the sides, while the gaps between the rods contribute to the decorative lighting effect.

An E27 GLS LED bulb is the manufacturer's specified bulb style. The familiar GLS shape is a practical option for this fitting, although the brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb selected.

Warm white LED light can help create a comfortable atmosphere in dining rooms and living spaces, while a brighter bulb may be preferable where more general illumination is required.

The pendant is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Adjustable suspension allows the total hanging height to be reduced from the manufacturer's stated maximum of 120 cm, helping position the shade appropriately above furniture or within the room.

With an IP20 rating, this fitting is intended for dry indoor spaces.

What bulb does the Searchlight Swizzle 55621SA use?

The pendant requires one E27 bulb, purchased separately. An E27 GLS LED bulb is the recommended shape. A warm white bulb can provide comfortable decorative lighting in living or dining areas, while the brightness should be chosen according to the room and intended use.

Can the Swizzle pendant be dimmed?

Yes. The pendant is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Is the hanging height adjustable?

Yes. The suspension can be adjusted during installation. The maximum total height is 120 cm, including the 26 cm high shade. This gives flexibility when positioning the pendant over a dining table or as a central ceiling light. The precise minimum hanging height is not specified.

Is this pendant suitable for a bathroom?

The Swizzle 55621SA has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor locations. It is not designed to withstand water splashes or moisture exposure, so it should not be selected for bathroom zones that require a higher level of ingress protection.

Will the frosted glass rods completely hide the bulb?

The vertical frosted glass rods help soften the appearance of light passing through the shade. However, the design is made from individual rods rather than a continuous enclosed diffuser. Some direct light may remain visible through the gaps and openings, depending on the viewing angle and bulb selected.
