Menton - Black Up & Down LED Wall Lamp IP44

The Menton features a low-profile, rectangular body with a gently curved front surface and a sand black powder-coated finish. Its simple, architectural styling works particularly well with contemporary exterior walls, rendered surfaces and modern entrance areas.

Constructed from ABS and polycarbonate, the fitting has a compact design measuring 17 cm across and just 7.7 cm in height. The integrated LED light sources sit within the fitting rather than requiring separate decorative bulbs.

With a projection of only 4.5 cm, the Menton remains close to the wall, making it suitable for locations where a larger projecting wall lantern would be less practical.

The Menton uses integrated LED technology with a warm white colour temperature of 3000K. Its LED elements are built into the fitting, so there are no separate bulbs to purchase or install.

The light is designed to provide illumination close to the exterior wall. Its compact construction makes it useful for highlighting wall areas and providing supplementary lighting around entrances, patios and pathways.

The manufacturer specifies a luminous output of 789 lumens. The warm white colour temperature can help create a comfortable appearance around outdoor seating and access areas without the cooler tone associated with daylight-coloured lighting.

The fitting is non-dimmable and designed for fixed connection to the mains supply.

IP44 protection means the Menton is protected against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1 mm. It is suitable for appropriately positioned exterior walls, but should not be installed where immersion or high-pressure water exposure is expected.

Class II double-insulated construction means the fitting does not require a protective earth connection. Installation should follow the manufacturer's supplied instructions and applicable electrical regulations.

Does the Searchlight Menton 39890BK require separate bulbs?

No. The Menton has an integrated LED light source, so separate bulbs are not required. The LED elements are built into the fitting rather than using standard replaceable E27, E14 or GU10 lamps. It provides warm white illumination at 3000K.

Is the Menton suitable for outdoor installation?

Yes. The fitting has an IP44 rating, providing protection against splashing water from any direction. It is suitable for appropriately positioned outdoor walls, entrances, patios and pathways. It should not be submerged or exposed to high-pressure water jets.

Can the Searchlight Menton LED wall light be dimmed?

No. Searchlight specifies the Menton 39890BK as non-dimmable. It is designed to operate at its normal output rather than provide adjustable brightness through a dimmer switch.

How far does the Menton project from the wall?

The fitting projects just 4.5 cm from the wall. It measures 17 cm wide and 7.7 cm high, making it a compact option for smaller exterior wall sections or locations where a deeper wall lantern would be unsuitable.

Does the Menton require an earth connection?

No. The Menton is a Class II double-insulated fitting, so it does not require a protective earth connection to the light itself. It is intended for fixed mains wiring and should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations.
