Plaza - Matt Black 3 Light over Island Fitting

The Plaza features a geometric rectangular frame constructed from mild steel and finished in sand black with a powder-coated surface. Its simple angular lines and open construction create an industrial-inspired appearance that works well with modern kitchens, contemporary dining furniture and interiors featuring metal or timber details.

Three exposed lamp positions are arranged along the length of the fitting. With no glass shades or fabric diffusers, the bulbs remain an important visible part of the design.

The main frame measures 86 cm long, 25 cm wide and 40 cm high. Suspension cables connect the fitting to the ceiling, creating a clean, suspended appearance.

The Plaza uses three replaceable E27 GLS LED bulbs, which must be purchased separately. The three light sources are positioned along the elongated frame, helping distribute illumination across kitchen worktops, breakfast bars or dining surfaces rather than concentrating it at a single point.

Its open construction leaves the bulbs exposed, so the brightness, colour temperature and appearance of the light depend on the lamps selected. Warm white bulbs can help create a more relaxed dining atmosphere, while suitable neutral white bulbs may be preferred for everyday kitchen activities.

The manufacturer specifies E27 GLS LED bulbs with a maximum 60W equivalent rating. This is an equivalence specification rather than confirmation that 60W LED bulbs can be fitted.

Compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

The adjustable suspension cables allow the hanging height to be set for the intended position, with a published overall height of 150 cm. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations.

What bulbs does the Searchlight Plaza 23203-3BK use?

The pendant requires three E27 GLS LED bulbs, which are not supplied with the fitting. The manufacturer specifies a maximum 60W equivalent LED bulb for each lamp holder. You can select suitable bulbs with a brightness and colour temperature that match your kitchen or dining area.

Can the Plaza three light pendant be dimmed?

Yes. It is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly. This allows the brightness to be adjusted for different activities.

Can the hanging height be adjusted?

Yes. The Plaza has adjustable suspension cables, allowing its hanging position to be tailored to the room and the surface below. The manufacturer publishes an overall height of 150 cm, but does not specify the exact minimum suspension height.

Is this pendant suitable for positioning above a kitchen island?

Yes. Its 86 cm long rectangular frame and three separate light sources make it particularly suitable for kitchen islands and breakfast bars. The adjustable suspension helps position the fitting above the worktop while taking account of the available ceiling height.

Can the Plaza pendant be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The fitting has an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor environments. It is suitable for general kitchen and dining room lighting, but should not be installed where moisture, splashing water or outdoor weather conditions require a higher level of protection.
