Flute - Painted Gold 4 Light Semi Flush with Decorative Glass

The Flute features a circular frame in a painted gold finish, complemented by clear striped glass strips arranged around the outer edge. The textured glass introduces a vertical decorative pattern, while its transparency allows the gold frame and internal lighting arrangement to remain visible.

Constructed from mild steel and glass, the fitting combines a structured circular design with detailed glass decoration. Four light sources sit within the arrangement, providing visual balance across the fitting.

The gold and clear combination adds warmth and decorative interest without relying on coloured or opaque shades. Its overall appearance suits interiors that combine classic decorative elements with clean, contemporary furnishings.

The Flute uses four replaceable E14 bulbs, providing illumination from four separate positions within the circular fitting. The clear striped glass allows light to pass through while introducing subtle texture and reflections.

Four E14 candle-shaped LED bulbs are specified for this fitting. Bulbs are not included, so the brightness and colour temperature can be selected to suit the room. Warm white LEDs can help create a softer atmosphere in bedrooms and living areas, while brighter bulbs may be preferred for general room lighting.

The fitting is compatible with dimmable E14 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Designed for fixed ceiling installation, the Flute does not require a hanging cable or adjustable chain. Its 32 cm overall height should still be considered when checking available headroom and the position of the fitting within the room.

• Bedrooms with gold, cream or neutral interior colour schemes.

• Modern classic interiors with decorative glass and metallic accents.
• Contemporary rooms that benefit from a warmer gold finish.
• Guest bedrooms and boutique hospitality interiors.

• Four-light design - provides illumination from several positions within the fitting.

• Clear striped glass - adds decorative texture while allowing light to pass through.
• Flush ceiling design - avoids the long suspension associated with pendant lights.

• Offers a practical alternative to a suspended pendant where ceiling height or room layout makes hanging lighting less desirable.
• Four replaceable bulbs provide more flexibility than a permanently integrated LED light source.
• The gold and clear finish can coordinate with a variety of neutral interiors and complementary metallic accessories.
• Suitable for several domestic spaces, making it adaptable to different room layouts and furnishing styles.

What bulbs does the Searchlight Flute 11349-4GO use?

The fitting uses four E14 bulbs, with candle-shaped LED bulbs specified by the manufacturer. The bulbs are purchased separately, allowing you to choose a suitable brightness and colour temperature. The recommended LED wattage is up to 8W per bulb.

Can this ceiling light be dimmed?

Yes. The Flute is compatible with dimmable E14 bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The bulbs and dimmer switch need to be matched to each other for dimming to work properly.

Is the Flute suitable for a room with a lower ceiling?

The flush-mounted design makes it an alternative to a hanging pendant or chandelier. However, the fitting has an overall height of 32 cm, so check the available headroom carefully, particularly in walkways and areas where people pass directly beneath the light.

Does the clear striped glass affect the lighting?

The transparent glass allows light from the four bulbs to pass through, while the striped surface adds texture and decorative reflections. The final brightness and light colour will depend on the E14 bulbs selected.

Can this ceiling light be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?

The Flute is designed for indoor use, and no bathroom-specific or outdoor IP protection rating has been confirmed. It is best considered for dry interior rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways rather than areas requiring a moisture-rated light fitting.
