Lyra - Shade Only - 25.5 cm Wrapped Natural Tapered Shade

The Lyra features a classic tapered silhouette, narrowing from a 25.5 cm diameter at the bottom to 11.5 cm at the top. Its natural raffia covering is hand-wrapped, creating a visibly textured surface with subtle variations characteristic of woven natural fibres.

The neutral beige and straw-like tones pair comfortably with timber, ceramic, linen and other natural interior materials. Rather than introducing a strong colour or decorative pattern, the raffia itself provides the main visual detail.

Its simple proportions suit both understated lamp bases and more decorative designs, making it useful when updating the appearance of an existing lamp.

The natural raffia covering filters some of the light passing through the sides of the shade, helping to soften its appearance compared with an exposed bulb. Light can also escape through the wider bottom opening, providing useful illumination for suitable table lamp applications.

The Lyra is a separate lampshade rather than a complete light fitting. Its brightness, switching and bulb compatibility depend on the lamp or light fitting to which it is attached.

Endon's catalogue specifies E14, E27 and B22 lampholder compatibility with a fixed gimbal fitting. The correct mounting arrangement and any necessary adaptor should be checked against the intended lamp before purchase.

The shade measures 16.5 cm in height, with a bottom diameter of 25.5 cm and a top diameter of 11.5 cm. These measurements are useful when checking clearance around nearby walls, furniture or other objects.

For LED use, follow the wattage and bulb requirements of the complete lamp, ensuring the selected bulb also fits comfortably within the shade.

Is the Endon Lyra 104074 a complete table lamp?

No. The Lyra 104074 is a separate natural raffia lampshade. It does not include a lamp base, electrical cable, switch or bulb. It is intended for use with a suitable existing or separately purchased light fitting.

What size is the Lyra raffia lampshade?

The shade measures 16.5 cm high, with a bottom diameter of 25.5 cm and a top diameter of 11.5 cm. Its tapered proportions make it particularly suitable for smaller decorative lamps, provided the mounting arrangement and overall proportions are compatible.

Will this lampshade fit an E14, E27 or B22 lampholder?

Endon's catalogue lists the Lyra with a fixed gimbal fitting and E14, E27 and B22 compatibility. Check the mounting position, shade ring and any adaptor required by your particular lamp before purchase. The lampholder type alone does not guarantee a correct physical fit.

Can I use an LED bulb with this shade?

Yes, when fitted to a compatible lamp designed for LED bulbs. The bulb must meet the lamp's electrical requirements and fit safely within the shade. The Lyra itself is a separate shade and does not determine the maximum wattage of the complete light fitting.

Does natural raffia completely block light?

No. The woven raffia filters some light passing through the sides of the shade, while light can also escape through its open ends. The resulting lighting effect depends on the bulb, the lamp arrangement and the natural weave of the material.
