Lampshade colour.

Start by looking at the room you are decorating. What is the colour scheme? Warm creams, ivory and taupe’s, or hot reds? Do you want to enhance and blend with this colour scheme, or contrast and stand out? Also consider the colour, size, and style of the base. A long slender base will complement different shades compares to a shorter chunkier base. Although there are no hard and fast rules, the shade and base should balance and complement each other.
